Green and Maris recently secured asylum for a mother and daughter whose asylum case had been pending for nearly a decade, overcoming unjustified accusations that they should not be eligible after the mother was forced to collaborate with criminal groups in their home country. Following a successful asylum hearing before the Denver Immigration Court, Green and Maris convinced ICE’s Office of the Principal Legal Advisor to not appeal the case, allowing the judge’s grant of asylum for both mother and daughter to become final.
