Form I-693 (Report of Immigration Medical Examination) Updates

On March 31, 2023 USCIS announced new policy guidance regarding Form I-693. The highlights of these changes include:

  • The civil surgeon’s signature no longer needs to be dated 60 days or less than the date the applicant files their immigration application.
  • Clarification that USCIS officers should review Form I-693 for compliance with procedures and requirements that were in place as of the date of the civil surgeon’s signature, unless otherwise specified by the CDC.
  • Clarification of procedures for responding to an Request for Evidence related to Form I-693
